ADNOC Fertilizers Ammonia/Urea Project

In October 2009, we won Fertil-2 Ammonia/Urea Project, the largest project at the time, owned by Fertil, a joint venture between ADNOC of UAE and Total of France. From the late 2000s, ADNOC had planned numerous projects aimed at using UAE’s abundant resources to develop high value-added businesses. As a part of their plan, they established Fertil, a joint venture with a share ratio of 2:1 with Total and ordered the Fertil-2 Project to build a plant that can treat 2,000 MTPD of ammonia and 3,500 MTPD of urea. The Fertil-2 project was aimed at increasing the capacity of the export transportation system of the existing urea plant from 400 T/D to 1,000 T/D, and the construction work had to be completed within the 8-week shutdown period of the existing plant.

The Project that Led to Winning Other Contracts, such as CF Project

We boldly accepted the challenging contract conditions, won the bid in the competition with other advanced EPC contractors, and successfully completed the plant. The project helped us strengthen our position in the fertilizer plant and gain a deeper trust from ADNOC, which led to winning more contracts from them, including the CF Project.
